FWIW, 1280x1024 is no longer a "weird aspect ratio" beause many 17" and 19" LCD monitors support this natively and their screens are also of the proper 5:4 aspect ratio.

So, in a way, 1600x1200, 1400x1050 and even 1024x768 are now "weird aspect ratios" for those with new LCD monitors...

Takes thirty seconds to solve the problem in gimp. And I like this one. :)

Please, don't submit wallpapers only at 1280x1024: it's a weird (read: wrong) resolution with a weird aspect ratio. Submit also standard 4:3 resolutions too (1024x768, 1600x1200), so that people can see your wallpaper without stretching and distorting it.
