Preview I took a look at a Splash screen on here once (I'm sorry, but I can't remember which) and liked the idea of the fading -> arrow icons on it, maybe to symbolise that Gnome was loading. I think it works also to show how fast Gnome is progressing too).

After Johnny (http://art.gnome.org/users/johny) said he thought the original Gnome Simplicity wallpaper was 'missing something', I created this variation.

It goes against my dislike of putting the Gnome logo/slogan/etc slap-bang in the middle of the screen, but here we are anyway.

I hope this pleases a bit more. :)

Perhaps it was my SmoothGNOME splash screen? (which was actually inspired by another theme. hehe
