Finally, a Wide screen image (1900x1200 or 1680x1050) would be nicer for those with widescreen laptops, like me.
The shot was taken in France where they are quite rare. I have been hunting insects for about 5 years and I usually don't encounter more that 1 or 2 each year. That one was the first kind enough to let me take a few shots.
I even have one good shot showing the stationnaty flight:

In case anyone cares...it appears to be a Bee Fly (Bombylius major). The 'horn' is a proboscis which is used for drinking nectar from flowers (like a hummingbird or a butterfly).
