mr_jimmybob: Take a look at the Mass Interactive Desktop for Linux (http://www.5dwm.org) which is a project to port the whole Indigo Magic Desktop environment to Linux. It's still in development and only binaries are available, but it includes GTK 1.x and 2.x themes in IRIX Motif style, and these can be downloaded and used separately from the rest of the system.

Very nice indeed. Great work. Does anyone know of a IRIX GTK theme lookalike. It would blend very well with the icons and with the Iris Metacity theme.

I am currently trying to port Solaris CDE color themes to Gnome, but still have to sort out a few issues.

Anyway, great work. Have fun.

Well, I chose the default size of the icons like this:

2 monitors running at 1280x1024. One running Linux, one running Irix. Tweak the scale of the svg's until they look the same on the Linux desktop as they do on the native Irix desktop.

For me that is the attraction - they are simple, not gaudy and overextravagant. Default size could be smaller though, they seem rather large.

Too blocky and they feel too simple.

Yes! I'm currently making the hard transition from IRIX to Linux, these icons make things just a little easier!

I tried in the last Ubuntu distribution and didn't work (/usr/share/icons, like the other svg icons with the same folder and document name structure) - the only i could see were just leafs as folder or document - what must i do?

Awesome! Totally simple, yet very stylish. Kind of original in the way some things are displayed (trash is a dumpster, for instance.
