Theme is really quite sweet, however:

When maximizing a window, the window's borders don't disappear. This is rubbish (and not true to win2k).

Fix it, asap !!!
:)

EDIT:
oh, I found this:

yanom,

You can provide me with the screen shots of the active and non active windows in that theme, and i can modify accordingly.

How do you change the color scheme? I came from Windows 2000 using the Maple color scheme, I want it to look like that.

Thank you. This works very well for me (coming from Windows background).

lordvader20, I am using the 'flatcursor' pointer pack and 'redmond' gtk2 theme. It is really similiar to Windows Classic theme. I also changed the GNOME menu icon to the Start menu button used by Windows. Add a Windows XP default wallpaper and change some font settings and voila... Windows on Linux.

I just need to change the icons, but I've not found a good icon set yet, maybe we can make our own.

I have also submitted a GDM login theme based on Win 2k login layout. The status shows as 'pending' since my submission a week ago. Don't know how long would it take to be acknowledged. if you wish to get the theme, Its here: http://geocities.com/skanchi_2000/W2kl.tar.gz

This theme works with 'desktop effects' enabled. i gave my first comment too early. But, later i verified on ubuntu feisty fawn (7.04) release and it works

derail: If you use Beryl you should be able to do it if you install and use Heliodor instead of Emerald as your window decorator. It runs normal Metacity themes under Beryl, but I've got an ATi card with the proprietary drivers so I can't use the standard Fedora Core "enable desktop effects"

Derail,
When "Desktop Effects" is enabled it, replaces "metacity" as the window manager and runs either Beryl or compiz. And, this being a metacity theme doesn't work

Any way to get this to work with desktop effects enabled?

Thanks
