Okay I have waited for a bit before handing out my two bits to see if the splash screen would grow on me. No joy I still hate it. It still looks like the gnome foot is being blown away by a stiff wind. I think would like it better if it weren't so busy. It almost makes me want to puke. I would also be more inclined to overlook all of the busy elements, if it were made using open sourse software Blender and Gimp rather that Photoshop and Cinema4D. That just doesnt seem to go along with what gnome is all about or Gnu/Linux...
