To everyone who moans about the styling of a particular icon:
The Tango Desktop Project is not an icon theme. It is a universal icon naming specification which is most of the work that they need to do in order to allow a universal look and feel across distributions and desktops.
The Tango Icon Library is merely the first iconset designed from scratch to look as consistent as possible and to fit the naming specification. It's not the entirety of the project, and isn't the only iconset intended for use with the Tango icon naming specification. If you want, you can port any existing theme to the new spec, and it'll work on any computer with the naming utilities installed. (afaik.)
Please, stop complaining about the look of this theme.
Oh, and Drom: the GPL is not adequate for icons, as it's designed for software. CC is far superior for literature and artwork.
