I have made an error in the widget path comment (wrong name of the variable). The correct instructions should be:

1. Type "export EXPERIENCE_PRINT_WIDGET_PATH=true" into the terminal
2. Then start programs from this terminal, for example "zenity --file-selection"

Andreas1, it works by setting the enviroment variable. So what you can do is the following:

1. Type "export EXPERIENCE_ENGINE_PRINT_WIDGET_PATH=true" into the terminal
2. Then start programs from this terminal, for example "zenity --file-selection"

You will then get the information printed out.

The 0.10.4 release fixes a serious memory leak. I strongly recommend to upgrade.

@jh: To debug the issue start programs from the console and see if there are any error messages. If GTK does not find the engine it will complain, etc.

@seguso:
1. Yes, the spacing is pretty big in the theme, but the real problem is that firefox does not correctly "emulate" what GTK does.

2. This is a limitation of GTK. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153966

3. Also a GTK limiation. There is a bug open, but I don't have the URL at hand right now.

The 0.10.3 release includes some speed improvements.

I tried alltray, and it seems to work fine here, so unless I get more information about the problems you have, I am unable to do anything at all.

Please mail me more details, like if it happens with all applications, what the problem is (crash?), etc.

The new 0.10.2 release features some important leak fixes that were not in 0.9.8. So if you don't happen to have a newer version from somewhere else, you should upgrade.
Over the last releases that were not on art.gnome.org I have also done some work on improving the speed of the engine. This does not change the fact that the engine is not fast, but I don't think I'll be able to get more out of the current architecture. And as I want to move to cairo anyways, I am not planning to do a lot of changes to the non cairo version.

It is possible to theme the applets on the panel, but theming the background is unfortunatly not possible AFAIK.
That is why in eXperience you need to set the background of the panel manual to the panel_bg.png file found in the theme. (gtk-2.0/images/panel_bg.png)

Actually it seems to be possible now.

Probably the engine was installed in /usr/local instead of /usr and gtk doesn't find it. To correct this you should run configure with --prefix=/usr

First of all, this is the engine, not the theme :) The engine could be used for any other theme.

Did you think a IceWM theme for Olive, Berry and Silver yet?
No since we do not use IceWM, so I guess you are on your own there.
