I stopped updating this icon set a long time ago, so I'm sure Gnome has changed the naming convention for the icons since then, which is probably why the folders don't show up right for you.

As far as adding additional icons, if you have access to an SGI Irix machine, you can use a horrible perl script I wrote to turn the original Irix .fti icon files into svg icons. It's available at http://www.webninja.com/files/fti2svg.pl

Well, I chose the default size of the icons like this:

2 monitors running at 1280x1024. One running Linux, one running Irix. Tweak the scale of the svg's until they look the same on the Linux desktop as they do on the native Irix desktop.
