I'm the author of the original rounded version (Clearlooks and Clearlooks 2), not of this square version. :) The trouble is that Metacity only has a fixed option to use round corners, you can't specify the actual radius of the corners. This problem will go away once Metacity uses a real transparent background (like compiz already does), but this will require compositing. I can't wait for Compiz to get support for theme plugins.

Occy, unfortunately it is not possible to make smaller rounded corners with Metacity. I'm not sure about the spacing, I would have to check why I did it the way it is now (in the original) but I know that I had a reason.

Well, but this is about the particular theme. :) Also, everything I have read about it so far indicates that Tango is not _just_ an icon theme, but _also_ an icon theme, or rather a base icon theme (but not merely one of many), which is completely following the Tango style guidelines (not just the naming spec). So if that's wrong, I have been confused.

@kaared: Well it basically is Clearlooks, I just put it here as Clearlooks 2 so people can still download the old one. :) But I don't want to clutter the theme interface with version numbers.

@YetZero: No that's not possible yet, we are all waiting for a stable compositing manager and metacity support to draw on RGBA visuals for real transparency. I want it as much as anyone else, but it will still take some time.

Sorry, I should have mentioned this. You can just rename the folder if you want to.

To those who think it's too grayish, you should be happy to note that Tango switched to a black/blue folder icon, which looks even better than the current one IMO.

Thanks for this, the official install doesn't make all icons appear for me. Tango is really wonderful.
