Actually nowhere. You can download Everaldo's Crystal icons though and eXperience will still fall back to them.
The point about eXperienceCrystal was, that it was too huge. That is the reason why it's no longer provided.

Doesn't GNU GPL state that you are of course allowed to do that

Hmm, can you start some program from the console and see, if it fails loading the engine?
I assume that the engine _is_ the problem.

THIS THEME NEEDS THE EXPERIENCE ENGINE TO WORK!!!!

(I was just wondering why this theme is being downloaded more than 200 times a day, while the engine is downloaded only about 70 times)

Right now I'm working on getting icons in evoltion to work. My brother found out the trick, how to, but I'm not sure, what I can actually achieve.
I'd really appreciate if anybody could improve the current icons and create more.

I'm sorry to not keep a.g.o. updated frequently, but it's worth taking a look at themes.org where you'll find a much newer version of the theme.
There have been many bug-fix releases, and themes.org is a little more flexible about keeping up with constant changes.
If there is major release coming up, it will surely be available here as well.
