the reasonn why this theme doesnt work for many users, is that it requires the clearlooks-cairo engine.
This was supposed to be shipped with GNOME 2.14, but was deleayed in last minute.
So unless you still have a testing version of it or are testing GNOME 2.15, this theme wont work.

Of course commenting out line 57 is also an option, but then its pretty much the same like the Quicksilver Theme shipped with one of the early Clearlooks Versions.
